Biography

Dr. Abhay Dharamsi is Professor and Head, Department of Pharmaceutics at Maliba Pharmacy College, Bardoli, Surat, Gujarat. He obtained his Doctoral Degree from the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai. He has extensive professional experience of about 30 years comprising of industry, teaching, research and administration. He was one amongst the experts in framing the curriculum and regulations for Pharm. D program under Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi. He was the founder Principal of KMCH College of Pharmacy, Coimbatore (T.N). During his tenure of 13 years from 1995 until 2008, he established KMCH College of Pharmacy as one of the most recognized pharmacy college imparting quality education and training at under graduate, post graduate and PhD levels. He has good number of publications and presentations to his credit and has visited Dubai (UAE) and Manila (Philippines) for scientific presentation of his research work. He was awarded financial assistance by Gujarat Council of Science & Technology (GUJCOST), Govt. of Gujarat for research work and was also sanctioned travel grant for attending international conferences by AICTE and CSIR. He was nominated as International Professional for the year 2006 by International Biographical Centre, Cambridge, England.

Dr. Atla Srinivasa Rao is a Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Analysis at Shri Vishnu College of Pharmacy, affiliated to Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, A.P., India. He received his Ph.D. Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Andhra University in 2009. Then worked as a Professor in Shri Vishnu College of Pharmacy, affiliated to Andhra University Institute/University for 4 Years. He is having 15 Years of Experience in the field of Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Analysis. His Area of Expertise includes: Design, synthesis and Characterization of novel pyridopyrimidotriazines /triazoles and their biological activity studies like anticancer, ant tubercular, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, anticonvulsant and antidepressant activities etc. and Validation and method development of drug formulations using HPLC/LC-MS and also Bio analytical method development of various drug formulations. He is the author of 15 research publications, and recipient of any Grants, awards etc.(Received/Completed AICTE-RPS project worth Rs. 11,00,000/-)

Mrs. Divya Suares is an Assistant Professor in the Pharmaceutics Department of SPP School of Pharmacy & Technology Management, Mumbai at SVKM’s NMIMS Deemed-to-be University. She received her Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutics from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore in 2007. She worked as a Lecturer in NGSM Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Mangalore for two years. She is having six years of teaching experience. Her current area of research interest includes: Novel colloidal drug delivery systems, nanotechnology and cosmeticology. She has authored 3 publications in journals of repute and has several presentations at various conferences to her credit. She has received the Best Oral Presentation award at 65th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress-2013, held at New Delhi. She is a recipient of Shree Harsha Memorial Gold Medal and has secured the First position in post graduate program at University level.

Dr. Shashank K. Singh is presently working as Senior Scientist in Cancer Pharmacology Division, at Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM), Canal Road, Jammu, India from the last one decade. IIIM is a one of the esteemed laboratory of CSIR, Govt. of India which engaged in novel drug discovery program from the natural, semi-synthetic and synthetic sources. Earlier he has worked with Win-Medicare Ltd R&D. (subsidiary of Winthrop, USA) and its sister R&D organization Modi-Mundi Pharma Research Development Centre (subsidiary of Mundi Pharma Basel, Switzerland) in Formulation Development department and M/s Cadila Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Dholka, Ahmadabad. He has done his Post Doc in Year 2010 at Medical Center, Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, USA and Ph.D. (Pharmaceutical Sciences) from Delhi Institute for Pharmaceutical Sciences & Research (DIPSAR), Delhi University, India. He has earned his master’s degree in Pharmacy from Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences, Pilani, Rajasthan India. He has several international publications and patents to his credit. His areas of Interest are drug discovery from natural products, targeted drug delivery systems for cancer, apoptosis, signalling pathways and stem cells.

Dr. Poonam Singh is a Scientist in Toxicology Division in CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow. She is having 8 years of research experience in the area of Toxicology and 4 years of research experience in anaerobic dye decolorization and aerobic amine degradation using microbes, development of enrichment cultures and isolation of biodegradative bacteria. Her area of Interest: Regulatory Toxicology, Molecular Hematotoxicity, Reproductive toxicology with special emphasis on teratogenecity and male fertility studies, In- silico Toxicology.She is a Life Time Member of Society of Toxicology, Indian Science Congress, Laboratory Animal Science Association of India , Fellow of National Academy of Animal Welfare, Annual Member of International Society of Environmental Botanists, National Botanical Research Institute.She has been awarded with CSIR Technology Award for Innovation 2009 (Team Member), Prof. K. R. Laumas Memorial Oration Award in the conference on Global perspectives of reproductive Biomedicine, Prof. K.R. Laumas Memorial Oration & Seminar & Workshop on Grantmanship held during 22-24th Dec. 2012 at CSIR-CDRI, Lucknow, Associate & Fellow of Academy of Sciences for Animal Welfare.

Dr. CM Long has received his PhD in Pharmacy/Pharmaceutics from University of Bath (2009-2013). Currently he is with the Clinical and Social Research in Medicine and Health Group, Univesiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. The research group has gathered more than USD 100k research grant which used to fund 8 full time researchers and postgraduate students. He teaches research methodology, pharmacoinformatics, biopharmaceutics and pharmacy subjects at the bachelor and master levels. He has authored more than 15 full research articles and served as editorial member of several journals.

Dr. Pranav J. Shah is a Professor in the Pharmaceutics & Pharmaceutical Technology Department of Maliba Pharmacy College at the Uka Tarsadia University, Bardoli, Gujarat. He received his Ph.D. Degree in Pharmacy from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara, Gujarat in 2007. Then worked as a Research Scientist in Formulation & Development in various pharmaceutical companies and then joined as a Professor in Maliba Pharmacy College since July 2011. He is having 10 Years of Experience in the field of Pharmaceutics. His Area of Expertise includes: Formulation development of conventional and novel drug delivery systems. He has authored 11 publications in national and international journals.

Dr. V. Ravichandran is a Senior Associate Professor in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of AIMST, Malaysia. He received his Ph.D. Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Dr. H. S. Gour (Sagar, India) University in 2009. He is having 15 Years of research and teaching experience in the field of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Analysis. His Area of Expertise includes: Drug design, Synthesis, characterization and pharmacological screening of chemical derivatives and Prodrugs, 2D and 3D QSAR, Pharmacophore modeling, Development of new analytical techniques for pharmaceutical formulations, Phytochemical and pharmacological screening of medicinal plants, Standardization of herbal formulations. He is the author of more than 100 research articles and 10 review articles. He is an adjudicator for PhD thesis from many Indian universities. He is recipient of AIMST University internal research grants, awards: IBC TOP 100 SCIENTIST 2013, UGC JRF, AICTE-QIP Research Fellowship, etc.

Dr. Mahalaxmi Rathnanand is Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics, Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal University. She received her Ph.D. Degree in Pharmaceutics from Manipal University in 2008.She is having 20 Years of Experience in the field of teaching and research activities. Her Area of Expertise includes Formulation Development. Her research works are published as 47 papers in reputed national and international, peer-reviewed indexed journals.

Mr. Viral D. Jagiwala is a Formulation Scientist in the Formulation Development Department of Sidmak Laboratories (India) Private Limited. He received his M. Pharmacy Degree in Pharmaceutical Technology from Charotar University of Science and Technology in 2011 and earned his Then worked as an Assistant Professor in Shree Dhanvantary Pharmacy College, (Affiliation: Gujarat University) for 1 year 4 months. He is having 1 year 5 months Years of Experience in the field of Formulation Development Department. Her/his Area of Expertise includes: Nano-Technology, Formulation development of Solid orals and Trans-dermal drug delivery Systems, Technology Transfer of Solid orals and Trans-dermal drug delivery Systems, Pelletization, QbD activities. Dr. Mayur Patel, Associate Professor in Department of Pharmaceutics, has 8 years of teaching experience. He has completed M. Pharm. and Ph. D. from Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University. He has Nineteen International and National Publications to his credit with total impact factor of more than 45, total citations more than 400 and ‘h’ index of 10. He has attended many International and National level conferences and participated in State level Paper Presentation competition. He has been an author and co-author of more than 70 papers (both research and review) presented at state, national and international level seminars and conferences. He got first prize in the National level poster presentation competition. He also got first prize in NIRMAQUEST 2005 (A State level Quiz and Elocution Competition for Pharmacy students). He has been invited to deliver lecture as a Resource Person at AICTE sponsored two weeks Staff Development Programme. He is a life member of Professional bodies like APTI, IPA, IHPA, SOPI, ISTE and IPGA. He has authored books on “Practicals in Pharmaceutical Analysis – I” and “A Text-book of Hospital Pharmacy”. He has also written a book chapter on “Drug Delivery: Oral Colon-Specific” in Encyclopedia of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology, 4thEdition, 2013, Published by Informa Healthcare Inc. UK. His area of interest is Novel Drug Delivery Systems.

Dr. Ashwin Kotnis is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. He received his/her Ph.D. Degree in Applied Biology from University of Mumbai, India in 2008. Then he worked briefly as postdoctoral fellow in Karolinska Institute, Sweden and University of Oxford, UK for nearly 4 years. He is having 9 Years of Experience in the field of molecular oncology. His area of Expertise includes: Head neck cancer epidemiology and studying DNA repair as biomarkers for cancer predisposition and radiation sensitivity. He is the author of national and international publications and has recipient of national and international fellowships and awards.

Dr. Bharat Bhusan Subudhi is Associate Professor in Pharmaceutical Analysis and QA Department of School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Siksha O Anusandhan University, Bhubaneswar. He received his Ph.D. Degree in Pharmacy from Utkal University in 2008. He is having 12 Years of Experience in the field of Pharmaceutical chemistry and analysis. His Area of Expertise includes: Medicinal chemistry, Pharmanalysis.

Dr. Bhavin P. Marolia is an Assistant Professor in the Quality Assurance and Pharmaceutical Analysis Department of Maliba Pharmacy College at Uka Tarsadia University; Bardoli.He received his Ph.D. Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University in 2013. He is having nine years of experience in the field of teaching and research. He has guided 20 M.Pharm. Students for their research projects and has more than 25 paper publications to his name. His area of expertise includes: Analytical method development and validation, stability studies of API and formulations, Impurity profiling, Isolation and characterization of impurities and degradation products.

Dr. Sridevi Chigurupati is a Senior lecturer in the pharmaceutical chemistry, Department of Pharmacy at the AIMST University, Malaysia.She received his/her Ph.D. Degree in pharmaceutical sciences from JNTU University in 2012. She worked as an associate professor in Geethanjali College of pharmacy / JNTU University for 8 Years. She is having 10 Years of Experience in the field of pharmaceutical chemistry, synthetic and medicinal chemistry. Her Area of Expertise includes: Synthesizing new chemical entities, Drug designing, QSAR and molecular modeling, Evaluating synthesized products using analytical techniques like IR, NMR and Mass spectroscopy, Screening the new compounds for various pharmacological activities. She is a Life time member in Indian Pharmacists Graduate Association, “IPGA”. Received BEST ORAL PRESENTATION award for the title “Synthesis and Pharmacological Activity of Novel Heterocyclic Compounds”, at 1st International science congress held, at Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. Qualified in "GATE 2003" Received AICTE Scholarship. Received Merit certificate for securing top score during B.Pharmacy also received merit scholarship from BSNL, INDIA. Present projects: Synthesis of novel indolo phenoxy acetic acid pyrazoline derivatives and pharmacological evaluation for their anti-hyperglycemic activity. Dr. Vivek V. Bhosale is a Scientist in the Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine at the CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow India. He is also working as visiting faculty for NIPER, Raibareli, and AcSIR – Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research. He received his M.B.B.S. degree from Pune University in 2002 and M.D. Degree in Pharmacology from Government Medical College, Miraj Maharashtra in 2007. He was working in Pharmaceutical Industry in the field of Clinical research and Medico marketing and later joined CSIR-CDRI. He is also member secretary of Institutional Ethics Committee for human research which is now accredited to Indian regulatory authority CDSCO. He has total 10 years of experience in clinical trials He has been called as resource person and given several invited lectures in the field of Clinical research and Ethics, published papers and filed patent. In January 2014 he was invited by Drugs Controller General India for training of newly recruited officers in Drugs controller office.

Yee-Chang Soh, RPh, BCPS has been a clinical pharmacy lecturer at the Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia since 2007. Currently, she is a PhD candidate in Pharmacometrics with research interests primarily in population pharmacokinetic modeling of pediatrics, which supported by postgraduate research grant. She received a first-class honour degree in Pharmacy from the University of Malaya, Malaysia in 2005 and earned her Master in Clinical Pharmacy degree from University of Science, Malaysia in 2009 with scholarship. Prior to joining the Faculty of Pharmacy, she worked as a clinical pharmacist in Malaysian public hospitals for three years. She led the oncology pharmacy team and supported the HIV/AIDS clinic. She is the American Pharmacist Association certified pharmacotherapy specialist (BCPS) and Good Clinical Practice certified clinical researcher. She is also a member of the International Association of Therapeutic Drug Monitoring and Clinical Toxicology (young scientist member), American College of Clinical Pharmacy and Malaysian Pharmaceutical Society. She served as a reviewer for numerous conference abstracts. She was awarded an excellence service award for academician during her faculty appointment. She has also received medals in academic exhibitions and research grants at international and national levels.

Dr. George Geromichalos is currently head in Cell Culture Molecular Modeling & Drug Design Dept. of Symeonidion Research Center, Theagenion Cancer Hospital at Thessaloniki, Greece. He received Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry and Quantum Chemistry in 2003 from Faculty of Chemistry, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. His areas of research include research & development of new drugs with improved toxicity pattern, increased anticancer activity and better selectivity, through modifying the structure of known functional molecules, study of signal transduction pathways and their relation to cytotoxicity or apoptosis. He has authored and co-authored over 44 peer-reviewed journal articles and over 190 conference papers. He is a member of 5 professional associations and is currently an editorial board member of 5 Open Journals. He has received various awards and honors for his research work. He has contributed in the organization of various workshop/conferences and has delivered 18 lectures and oral presentations and been invited in the studio of many TV and radio broadcast programs to present a variety of scientific topics.

Dr. K. Jaya Raja Kumar is Faculty of Pharmacy AIMST University Bedong, Semeling, Kedha, Malaysia. He has completed his Ph.D. from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, India in 2012. Title of his Thesis was Development and Evaluation of polymeric in situ gel containing antifungal agents for oral thrush. He is having 55 publications and has 15 years of Academic Experience. His research areas are Development and in vitro-in vivo evaluation of temperature induced, pH induced and ions in situ gel for oral thrush, Formulation of microemulsion based vaginal gel-in vitro and in vivo evaluation, Development and in vitro evaluation of gel based anti-dandruff shampoo, Antibiotic loaded solid lipid nanoparticles loaded gels for ocular drug delivery system, Development and in vitro evaluation of tri polymer based beads, Formulation and in vitro evaluation of effervescent floating tablets of the model drug delivery system, Formulation and evaluation of microspheres for sustained drug delivery in urinary tract infections, Development of nanosponge and microsponges enriched gel, Formulation of superporous transdermal patch.

Dr. Kashmira J. Gohil is M. Pharm, Ph.D in Pharmaceutical Sciences with Specialization in Pharmacology with total 16 years of work experience including 14 years in academics & research. She received her Ph.D from the prestigious Nirma University, Ahmedabad in the year 2010 and her B. Pharm & M. Pharm from renowned Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU), Baroda, Gujarat, in the year 1994 and 1998 respectively. Her area of expertise includes the subjects of Pharmacology covering herbal drug interactions, neurodegenerative diseases and diabetic complications. She is the author of a book titled- Pharmacological investigation of Bacopa moniera- a wonder herb (ISBN-13: 978-3659515477); various scientific papers and editorial board member of some peer-reviewed national & international journals of repute.

Dr. K.R. Arya is Principal Scientist, Botany Division, Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow (U.P.), India. He is having 15 years Research Experience in Natural products and 10 years in Plant tissue culture.He is a patent owner for Novel Flavonol compounds, A bioactive extract/fraction from Ulmus wallichiana and its compounds for prevention for treatment of osteo-health related disorders. He has filed 4 patents and has number of National and International Publications. He has received Ptechnology Awards & Achievements for Compound K058, K012, K068, K0100 (Rapid bone fracture Healing agents) Licensed to Kemxtree USA for product development. His current areas of research are Ethno botanical survey, Taxonomical identification of medicinal plants, documentation and bio prospecting of ethno botanical leads. Collection of medicinal plant samples as per the priorities areas of the institute and isolation, identification & characterization of bioactive molecules for modern therapeutics. Pharmacological investigation for the development of quality control measures for crude samples identification. Chemical fingerprinting of important medicinal plants for identification of bioactive marker using DART MS/Q TOF LCMS/HRMS techniques. Validation of traditional knowledge through scientific investigations. Sustainable management and conservation of medicinal plant biodiversity. Various aspects of plant cell and tissue culture technology for scale up production of secondary metabolites

Dr. Mohamed Salama is a Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics, Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of UiTM, Malaysia. He received his Ph.D. Degree in Pharmaceutics from Chemical Pharmaceutics, Saint Petersburg, Russia, in 1975 and then worked as a lecturer of Pharmaceutics,Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University, Egypt for two years then he moved to Zagazig University, Egypt, he is having 39 Years of Experience in the field of Pharmacy. His area of expertise includes: Pharmaceutics, Physical Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy and Drug delivery systems.

Dr. Rabi Sankar Bhatta graduated in Pharmacy and post graduate in pharmaceutics from Nagpur University, India and PhD from Jawahar Lal Nehru University. He has ten years of experience working in academic and pharmaceutical industry. Currently he is working as Scientist, Pharmacokinetic and Metabolism Div., in CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute. He is actively involved in lead identification, preclinical and clinical development. His research interests include bioanalysis, metabolite characterization, and CYP profiling, pharmacokinetics and formulation development of NCEs. He is co-inventor of web-based dereplication tool (www.tmsdatabase.org) for identification of plant secondary metabolite. He has guided thesis of PhD, graduates students and has published several papers in reputed journals.

Dr. (Prof). Sapna Shrikumar, Principal of Moulana College of Pharmacy, Angadippuram P.O., Perinthalmanna, received her Ph. D Degree in “Pharmaceutical Sciences” from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University at Chennai, Tamil Nadu state. She is Professor of Department of Phytochemistry and Pharmacognosy. She is having 20 years of experience in the field of teaching and guiding several PG projects related with Pharmacognstic, Phytochemical, Formulation development and standardization by Analytical methods. Her area of Expertise includes: - Herbal Standardization, qualitative & quantitative analysis of drugs using instrumental methods, Phytochemical studies, isolation and characterization of compounds. She has received the three paper awards in the International and national conferences. She has guided more than 25 PG projects which has obtained Scholarships from the Tamil Nadu Welfare Fund Association, Government of India and Department of Ayurveda - NSTMIS

Dr. Atul Goel obtained Master’s degree in Chemistry from Lucknow University, Lucknow, India in 1992 and carried out doctoral research from a premier Indian CSIR institute, the Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI), Lucknow. After getting his Ph.D. degree in chemistry (1998), he joined Lupin Laboratories Ltd., Bhopal as Scientist (R&D). After a postdoctoral stay at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Cancer Institute, Bethesda, Maryland (1999-2001), he moved to his Alma mater institute, the CSIR-CDRI in the year 2001, where he is currently working as Principal Scientist in the Division of Medicinal and Process Chemistry. He has published numerous research papers in international journal of high repute and has filed eight patents. His contributions have been recognized by the NIH fellowship (1999), the Young Scientist Award (2005) by Council of Science and Technology, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Ramanna Fellowship (2007) by the Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi, Dr. Ghanshyam Srivastava Memorial Award (2007-08) by Indian Chemical Society, Kolkata and prestigious Alexander von Humboldt (AvH) Fellowship under experienced researcher category by AvH Foundation, Bonn, Germany. His research interests encompass the development of innovative routes for pharmaceutically important natural and synthetic products with special emphasis on research related to osteoporosis and bone related disorders and diabetes; and on the development of new donor-acceptor based small molecule fluorescent probes/dyes for biological and material applications (OLEDs).

Dr. Suneel.I.Majagi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology in J.N. Medical College of K.L.E University, Belgaum, Karnataka, India. He has done M.B.B.S, M.D (Pharmacology), PGDHPE (Post Graduate Diploma in Health Professions Education). Presently he is working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology. He is having 13 years of experience in the field of Pharmacology. His Area of Expertise includes: Pharmacology, Pharmacovigilance, Health Professions Education, Research, Guiding post graduate research projects, Scientific writing, Faculty Development Programmes etc. He is the author of a book titled Pharmacovigilance and safety monitoring, 24 research articles published in various International indexed journals, 1 research article in a National indexed journal. He has presented 4 scientific papers in different International conferences and 3 scientific papers in different National conferences. He has been organizing chairman and organizing secretary for various faculty development programmes organized at national and regional levels. He is an editor and reviewer for many national and international journals. He was a Judge/ Evaluator both for oral and poster sessions at IPS International conference. He has chaired scientific session at a National Symposium.

Dr. S. K. M. Habeeb is an Assistant Professor inthe Department of Bioinformatics; School of Bioengineering at SRM University, Kattankulathur Campus,Tamil Nadu. He received his Ph.D.Degree in Bioinformatics - Zoology from Guru Nanak College, University of Madras in 2012. He has worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Bioinformatics, Guru Nanak College, Chennai from June 2007 to May 2011and then he joined as an Assistant Professor (Visiting) in the Department of Biochemistry in T.S. Narayanasamy College of Arts & Science from January 2010 to April 2012. He is having 7 Years of Experience in the Academicsand has published several publications to his credit in National and International Journals. His area of Expertise includes: Structural & Functional Bioinformatics, Agricultural Bioinformatics, Molecular Modelling & Drug Designing, Sequence Analysis, Entomology & Phylogeny. He has been awarded with the best young scientist at a National conference on Environment Protection and Management held at Loyola College, Chennai.

Dr. Sandip Zine is an Assistant Professor in the Vivekanand Education Society’s College of Pharmacy, Chembur, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of Mumbai. He received his Ph.D. Degree in Pharmacy from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, Maharashtra in year 2012. He is having eight years of Experience in the field of Pharmacy. Dr. Sanghapal D. Sawant is a Scientist at CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Jammu and Asst. Professor at AcSIR. He received his Ph.D. Degree in Synthetic Organic Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry from CSIR-IIIM, Jammu and SRTM University, Nanded. He is the author of several international peer reviewed research publications and has seven national and three international patents to his credit. Apart from this he is a recipient of CSIR project grant and grants sponsored by multinational companies. His biography is published in Marquis’ Who’s Who in the World, 31st world edition 2014. He has been awarded as Expert of Latvian Council of Science in 2013. He is having more than eight years of research experience in the field of Synthetic Organic Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry. His Area of Expertise includes: Organic synthesis and Medicinal chemistry, Drug discovery in the area of- Cancer, Tuberculosis and MED (PDE inhibitors), Small molecule stem cell modulators of natural origin targeting various cell signaling pathways, Development of new synthetic methods

Dr Nahlah Elkudssiah Ismail graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy (Hons)from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in the year 2000. In the year 2001, she had been selected to receive scholarship LAB/JPA - Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia “Young Lecturer Scheme” to pursue her PhD studies in the field of clinical pharmaceutics at Institute of Pharmaceutical Innovation (IPI) and School of Pharmacy, University of Bradford, Bradford, United Kingdom (UK). She had been successfully awarded with a PhD degree in July 2005. Upon her return from UK in 2007, she had been allotted as a lecturer at Faculty of Pharmacy, UiTM. To date, she has taught more than 40 courses to degree and postgraduate students in UK and Malaysia. As the pioneer of clinical pharmaceutics in Malaysia, she is the founder of the first Clinical Pharmaceutics Research Group (CPRG) (2008) in Malaysia that was recently acknowledged as Clinical BioPharmaceutics Research Group (CBRG) by Research Management Institute (RMI), UiTM. She holds membership in many local and international pharmacy and health based organizations such as Malaysian Pharmaceutical Society, Aerosol Society, Commonwealth Pharmacists Association, and International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP). Dr Ismail had published more than 100 publications including research journal articles, proceedings, chapters in books, and books. She always been invited to deliver lectures and conduct workshops at local and international events as well as a reviewer for local and international journals. Supervised more than 25 final year pharmacy students, Dr Ismail has been supervising more than 15 PhD and MSc/MPhil candidates mainly in the field of pharmaceutics, clinical pharmacy, pharmacy education, social pharmacy, pharmacy practice, public health, pharmaceutical policy, complementary and alternative medicines, and sport sciences. She is also actively participating in honey, plant and animal related studies in finding new therapeutic entity. Dr Ismail had been awarded research g ants as well as medals in national and international scientific invention, innovation and design exhibitions and competitions. She received Young Scientist Award at 3rd IIUM-iCAST in 2010. As a registered pharmacist and a teacher-practitioner, she is one of the regular invited guests for radio UFM (93.6 Mhz frequency Klang Valley; available online at http://ufmlive.uitm.edu.my/ufmlive) under segment “U & Health” covering various health topics as well as one of the invited speakers for leadership and soft skills development.

Dr. Mudit Dixit is a Coordinator of Department of Drug Regulatory affairs and Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics at Nitte University, Mangalore, Karnataka, India. He received his Ph.D. Degree in Pharmaceutics from JSS University, Mysore in 2011. Then worked as a Assistant Manager in International Regulatory Affairs Department at Biocon Limited, Bangalore, India, for two and half Years. He is having 5 Years of Experience in the field of Formulation and Research development. His Area of Expertise includes: Drug regulatory Affairs, Formulation and Research development, Quality assurance and Patent. He is the author of more than 80 research and review articles in reputed National and International Journals and also presented ~20 Papers at different Conferences. Currently he is severing as Editor-in-chief, Editor, Editor board member, Advisory board member and Reviewers for more than 20 Reputed Journals all across the Globe. He is recipient/under consideration of Four Research Grants from different Funding agencies.

Prof. Dr. Alireza Heidari, Ph.D., D.Sc. is a Full Professor and Academic Tenure of Chemistry at California South University (CSU), Irvine, California, USA. He has got his Ph.D. and D.Sc. degrees from California South University (CSU), Irvine, California, USA. Furthermore, he has double postdocs in Project Management, Oncology, Human Cancer Tissues and Synchrotron Radiation from Monash University, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and also in Nanochemistry and Modern Molecular Electronic–Structure Computations Theory from California South University (CSU), Irvine, California, USA. He is expert in many computer programs and programming languages. Hitherto, he has authored more than twenty books and book chapters in different fields of Chemistry. Syne, he has been awarded more than nine hundreds reputed international awards, prizes, scholarships and honors. Heretofore, he has multiple editorial duties in many reputed international journals, books and publishers. Hitherward, he is a member of more than three hundreds reputed international academic–scientific–research institutes around the world. It should be noted that he is currently the President of American International Standards Institute (AISI), Irvine, California, USA and also Director of the BioSpectroscopy Core Research Laboratory at California South University (CSU), Irvine, California, USA.
