Biography

Ms. Kripa Angeline. A is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Medical Surgical Nursing at Kasturba Gandhi Nursing College, Puducherry. She did her Post-graduation from KMCH College of Nursing, Coimbatoreand is presently pursuing her PhD from Annamalai University. She has an experience of more than 10 years. She has attended and presented her papers at various prestigious conferences and has published her papers in reputed journals. She has been awarded with the Certificate of Commendation by the Vice – Chancellor in the year 2011, and the Best Faculty in the year 2013. She has acted as the Chairperson/ Resource Person at various conferences, such as, the 3th National Conference; National Conference; State Conference; etc.

Elsa Sanatombi Devi is the Professor and Head of Department in the depoartment of Surgical Medical Nursing.Her area of interests include Medication administration, Educational environment, Student and patient counselling, Innovation in care aspects (development of simple gadgets), Diabetes management and patient’s compliance. Area of expertise are Medication administration, Nursing care of medical and surgical conditions, Diabetes.

Anil Sharma, Joint Secretary, NRSI (Nursing Research Society of India), is an Associate Professor cum I/C Principal at Manikaka Topawala Institute of Nursing, Charotar University of Science and Technology, Changa, Gujarat, India. He is completed his M.Sc. in Medical Surgical Nursing from RGUHS, Bangalore, and he is currently pursuing PhD at Charotar University of Science and technology, Changa. He has 11 years of working experience. He is the Life member, Trained Nurse Association of India, Nursing Research Society of India, Critical Care Nursing Society, India, and Member of ICN (International Council of Nurses). He has attended and participated in numbers of Conferences/Workshops. He has also worked as an examiner and trainer in several universities.

Baby S Nayak is Professor in the Department of Child Health (Paediatric) Nursing, Manipal College of Nursing, Manipal University. Her area of interests include Child Health Nursing, Nursing Research , Nursing Education. Her area of research includes Childhood Obesity, New born care, HIV/AIDS, Child Health Nursing. She has several publications to her credit.

Possessing a proven ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions to problems.She has authored Wong's Essentials of pediatric Nursing , Ist South Asian edition and published 56 research articles in reputed national and International journals.

Dr. Smriti Arora is presently working as an Assistant Professor at Rufaida College of Nursing, Jamia Hamdard. She completed her Ph.D. in Nursing from National Consortium for Ph.D. in Nursing (Indian Nursing Council and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, India). She has a teaching experience of almost 8 years. She is a Member of Board of Studies, Incharge of Board of Research Studies, member of Internal Quality Assurance Cell at Jamia Hamdard. She has organized as well as participated in various workshops. She has been awarded by the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) for her contribution in NRP and has been appreciated by IAP for her efforts towards NRP, FGM project. She has published papers in various reputed journals and serves on the Editorial Board of different journals. She is a Life time member of TNAI- Trained Nurses Association of India, NNF- National Neonatology Forum and IANN- Indian Association of Neonatology Nurses. Her interest areas are in the field of Nursing Education and Pediatric Nursing.

Daisy Josphine Lobo is MPhil nursing Program Coordinator in the Department of Medical Surgical Nursing. Her area of expertise include Patient care in coronary care units, Neuro science units, critical care units, haemodialysis units, BLS and ACLS programmes, Research Guidance. She has several publications to her credit.

Dr (Mrs) Sushma Kumari Saini completed her PhD ten years back. She has 21 years of teaching experience. Presently she is working as a faculty at National Institute of Nursing Education, PGIMER, Chandigarh, India. She is a member of 11 national scientific bodies. She is chief editor of Indian Journal of Community Health Nursing, Joint editor of Nursing and Midwifery Research Journal and member of editorial board of many reputed journals. She has presented many papers and is the invited guest faculty at local, National and International conferences. She has a number of publications in reputed journals and also is the author of many chapters in various books. She has keen interest in reproductive and child health. At present she is the principal investigator of one research project funded by Institute research scheme.

Dr. Arnel Banaga Salgado is an educated and trained psychologist, mental health practitioner, nurse and a licensed teacher. He has a wide experience as an academician holding the ranks from assistant professor, associate professor and professor from the different universities in the United States, Philippines, Malaysia and the middle east. He is a former school principal, college administrator, dean and a chief nurse. He is also trained as an educator and content provider in the Open and Distance Learning (ODL), course development and the utilization of several IT landscape as modes of instructional delivery. He holds two doctorates, Doctor of Education from the Philippines and Doctor of Science (honoris causa) from the United States. Specialties: School Psychology, Mental Health, Psychiatric Nursing, Education, Educational Management, Administration & Management, Human Resource Development and Management

Leena Sequira assists the head of the institution in competent management of the college activities by coordinating the sessional and university examination activities. She is an Assistant Professor in Department of Medical Surgical Nursing. Area of interests include Renal failure, Hypertension, Diabetes mellitus, Cardiovascular related conditions.

Dr. Sukhpal Kaur (Ph.D), is a Lecturer at National Institute of Nursing Education, PGIMER, Chandigarh. She has twenty four years of teaching experience. She is member of many scientific bodies. She has a number of Awards and Honors to her credit. She is member of Editorial board of various National and International journals. She has presented number of scientific papers at local, National and International conferences. She has 107 publications in reputed journals and has contributed 17 chapters in various other books. She has written 7 books. She has keen interest in research in Geriatric care, Palliative care, Chronic illnesses, and Women’s health. She is the principal investigator of many research projects funded from department of Science and Technology, Department of Biotechnology, and Indian Council of Medical Research New Delhi.

Dr. Harmeet Kaur is Principal of Chitkara School of Health Sciences, Chitkara University, Punjab, India. She completed her PhD from National Consortium for PhD in Nursing, INC & RGUHS, Bangalore, Inidia (2014) and M.Sc. in Nursing from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi (2006). She has total 12 years of experiences in teaching and nursing. She has participated and presented papers in various Conferences/Workshops/Symposia and she also guided PhD and M.Sc. students and research scholars. She has published number of papers. She is the member of Trained Nurses Association of India, Nursing Research Society of India, and Asian Cardiac Nurses Association.
