Biography

Ms. Kripa Angeline. A is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Medical Surgical Nursing at Kasturba Gandhi Nursing College, Puducherry. She did her Post-graduation from KMCH College of Nursing, Coimbatoreand is presently pursuing her PhD from Annamalai University. She has an experience of more than 10 years. She has attended and presented her papers at various prestigious conferences and has published her papers in reputed journals. She has been awarded with the Certificate of Commendation by the Vice – Chancellor in the year 2011, and the Best Faculty in the year 2013. She has acted as the Chairperson/ Resource Person at various conferences, such as, the 3th National Conference; National Conference; State Conference; etc.

Mrs Athirarani. M.R took her graduation and post graduation from Government college of Nursing, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. She took her M. Phil in Clinical Epidemiology from, Clinical Epidemiology Training and Research Centre, Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram and awarded PhD from University of Kerala in 2017. She is an active researcher and epidemiologist in her field. She has many publications and the editorial board member of many National and international journals. She is a recourse person in workshops and seminar and the IRC member of Medical and Nursing College. She has vetted hundreds of research protocol in Medical, Nursing, Dental and Pharmacy. She is the recipient of many national and international awards. She is the life member of many national and international professional organizations. Her area of interest is Diabetes. Her enthusiasm not only limits to academic and research activities but she organizes many health education camps and screening programmes in the community.

Dr. Lukima Saikia is a faculty of nursing with a wide range of experience in the field of nursing. She has presented number of scientific papers at state, Regional, National and International Conferences. Master trainer of Strengthening Pre-Service Nursing Midwifery Education, Comprehensive screening for birth defects at Delivery Points. Having total 19 years of experience in teaching, clinical practice, research and administration. Published number of articles in various National and International journals, Magazine, Newspapers, Newsletters etc. She has guided many M.Sc. Nursing research papers. Chapter Secretary (Assam) of Society of Midwives India (SOMI) and Life member of TNAI and NRSI. She is Evaluator and Counsellor of IGNOU programme. She had Undergone training on Scottish Nurse Education from Napier University, Scotland. Presented papers in the National and International Conferences and invited as a resource person in various workshops and shared scientific session as a chairperson in National conferences.

Dr. Maharaj Singh is Associate Professor in the Department of Child Health (Paediatric) Nursing, NIMS Nursing College, NIMS University, Jaipur, Rajasthan. He completed his Ph.D. in Nursing from SRM University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He has 12 years of work experience. He has worked as Centre superintendent, external examiner, paper evaluator and trainer for many universities. He has published many research articles in reputed National and International journals. He has presented scientific research papers at various prestigious conferences. His area of interest includes Child Health Nursing, Nursing Research and Nursing Education.

Dr. Usha Ukande is currently working as a Professor and Principal at Choithram College of Nursing, Indore. Her professional experience expands to over 45 years. She has many publications in reputed journals and has presented over 35 Research Paper & Other presentations at various International, national and state conferences and workshops. She has been presented with the Hall of Fame by Indian Nursing Honour Society along with four other awards for Women Empowerment.

Dr Remadevi S is a retired Associate professor in Medico-sociology in the department of Community Medicine, Medical Education department, Government of Kerala. She is currently working as Project Officer, School of Health Policy and Planning of Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) at Thiruvananthapuram. Besides masters and PhD in Social Science. She has undergone 2 year training in Clinical Epidemiology with Medical social science as an optional subject leading to a Masters degree (M. Med. Sc.) at the University of Newcastle, Australia as part of the International Clinical Epidemiology Network program. Currently she is engaged in independent and collaborative research on topics of regional and national priorities, funded by national and international funding agencies. She is a resource faculty for the research methodology training programs for Post graduate students and certificate program in research methodology for teaching faculty of KUHS. She is associated closely with INCLEN in various capacities as investigator/ program consultant / TAG member for their research projects. She is a member of the scientific and Ethics committees of several medical and allied institutions. Besides epidemiological research per se, her specific areas of interest are program evaluation, tool development and qualitative research.

Dr. Smriti Arora is presently working as an Assistant Professor at Rufaida College of Nursing, Jamia Hamdard. She completed her Ph.D. in Nursing from National Consortium for Ph.D. in Nursing (Indian Nursing Council and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, India). She has a teaching experience of almost 8 years. She is a Member of Board of Studies, Incharge of Board of Research Studies, member of Internal Quality Assurance Cell at Jamia Hamdard. She has organized as well as participated in various workshops. She has been awarded by the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) for her contribution in NRP and has been appreciated by IAP for her efforts towards NRP, FGM project. She has published papers in various reputed journals and serves on the Editorial Board of different journals. She is a Life time member of TNAI- Trained Nurses Association of India, NNF- National Neonatology Forum and IANN- Indian Association of Neonatology Nurses. Her interest areas are in the field of Nursing Education and Pediatric Nursing.

Dr. Tarun Kalra is Principal, Professor & Head, Department of Prosthodontics at Rayat Bahra Dental College and Hospital, Mohali, Punjab. After completing his schooling from Chandigarh, graduated in Dentistry from Bapuji Dental College & Hospital, Davangere in 1995 & completed his Masters Degree in the Speciality of Prosthodontics, Crown & Bridge and Implantology from College Of Dental Sciences Davangere in 2001 receiving the "Best-outgoing student award". He is clinician and having 18 years of teaching experience and having numerous national and international publications to his credit. He have also presented many papers in conferences globally. He has also been the President of Indian Dental Association, Mohali branch. He is Fellow of the International College of Continuing Dental Education, FICCDE and holds numerous important posts.

Dr. Sukhpal Kaur (Ph.D), is a Lecturer at National Institute of Nursing Education, PGIMER, Chandigarh. She has twenty four years of teaching experience. She is member of many scientific bodies. She has a number of Awards and Honors to her credit. She is member of Editorial board of various National and International journals. She has presented number of scientific papers at local, National and International conferences. She has 107 publications in reputed journals and has contributed 17 chapters in various other books. She has written 7 books. She has keen interest in research in Geriatric care, Palliative care, Chronic illnesses, and Women’s health. She is the principal investigator of many research projects funded from department of Science and Technology, Department of Biotechnology, and Indian Council of Medical Research New Delhi.

Dr. Manju Dhandapani ,is currently working as faculty in National Institute of Nursing education, PGIMER, Chandigarh,India. She has vast experience of almost 20 years inclusive of 13 years of academic experience in top ranked national level nursing institutes such as AIIMS, New Delhi, JIPMER Pondicherry and PGIMER, Chandigarh. Her areas of interest include Neuro Nursing, Critical Care Nursing, Clinical Research and Education. She is also Secretary of Society of Indian Neuroscience Nurses for 5 Years. She has published approximately 50 articles in National and International indexed and peer reviewed journals. She is also member of Review Board in Nursing journal of India and Indian Journal of Critical Care Medicine. She has presented papers/delivered talk/chaired sessions/organized/attended more than 60s National/International conferences, CNEs and workshop. She has contributed many chapters in different books and also reviewer. She is a Board of Study member for Nurse Practitioner Course and PhD DC member in Himalaya University, Dehradun (Uttarakhand). She is a recipient of several awards such as ‘Best Neuro Nurse Award’ by SINN, ‘Best Publication Award’ from PGIMER, Chandigarh and also winner of ‘Best Paper Award’ in various conferences several times. She is a member Executive Committee of TNAI Chandigarh Branch and has initiated various activities for the upliftment of nursing in India. She is also member of various professional organizations/ Societies including Society of Indian Neuroscience Nurses, Trained Nurses Association
