A Review on Amaranthus spinosus Linn Pharmacological Activities

Abstract


The presents study is brief overview of the morphological, pharmacological activities of Amaranthus spinosus. The plant was reported to possess anti-depressants, analgesic properties, anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor and anti-ulcer activity etc. Hence, in view of immense medicinal importance of the plant this review is therefore an effort to compile all the information reported on its phytochemical and pharmacological activities. These information will be helpful to create interact towards the plant and may be useful in developing new formulation, which are more effective and have more therapeutic value.
