Home Automation Using Wireless Infrared Remote

Abstract


The present paper describes a design, which provides wireless link of home appliances to the remote user. In the modern world, it is necessary to control the fan speed, light intensity, air conditioners, and television for which we are linked to high-tech machineries and equipment’s to get our jobs done and make the life easier. Smart home consists of system equipped with home appliances which we tend to control by establishing wireless link from remote location. Some products are available which give a small room for home appliance to be controlled through TV remote which is undoubtedly emerging. But it is insufficient in providing mobility and security, hence limiting the use of remote for controlling home appliances, thus infrared technology is better than any other solution for small purpose. This signal is decoded by a receiver, since the receiver only switches when the signal is received.
