FPGA Implementation of High Speed Data Acquisition with Reduced Software Overhead
Abstrakt
In many real-time applications, such as sensor networks and remotely controlled industrial processing, it is desired to obtain their sensor data faster and process available data quickly. So goal is to design and implement an FPGA which will acquire data from the sensor; that data will be stored in the memory; and then with the help of microprocessor, data can be used for the evaluation of the performance. The advent of Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) has made compact realization of embedded system possible. This paper is an approach of designing data acquisition system which collects data from sensors and queues it for the processor to collect it and process it faster. Keywords: ADC, FPGA, VHDL, DASPublikováno
