This paper deals with the design and implementation of a fuzzy logic based controller for regulating the output voltage and frequency of a self-excited induction generator (SEIG). Electronic load controller (ELC) along with fuzzy logic controller (FLC) is used to maintain the electrical load constant at the output terminals. The controlling action will be taken by FLC whenever there will be the difference between the rated load current and the actual load current. Comparison between the output obtained using conventional controller and fuzzy logic based controller is also shown. It has been observed that by using conventional controller overshoots takes place whenever there is sudden variation in load while smooth changeover takes place in case of use of fuzzy logic controller. Results are simulated in Matlab/Simulink.Keywords: Self-excited induction generator, electronic load controller, fuzzy logic controller, PID controllerVeröffentlicht
