Aircraft Design and Development: An Overview
Abstrakt
This paper addresses issues related to airworthiness standards, air loads criticality, handling qualities requirements, and flight testing from the personal experiences of the author. Current control technology has significant impact on airworthiness specification description. Combination of air loads cases needs judicial selection along with control criteria. Control software can be synthesized in real time for required handling criteria. Concurrent aeroelasticity needs consideration for optimum aerodynamic design features that is highlighted herein.Keywords: airworthiness, aeroelasticity, aircraft
