Abstract

This work presents the design and construction of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), to be used in order to realize a precise and accurate traffic study, a way to evaluate the real gathering traffic flow conditions in Kolkata areas based on videos taken by an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, is proposed. The UAV was designed to be powered by a DC battery and to carry a maximum payload of 1.0 kg. It is equipped with a microcontroller, actuators and sensors. This particular work reports in terms of vehicular traffic flow along a way in the city of Kolkata. The results have been used to analysis the traffic flow of various areas in Kolkata.   Keywords: Aerodynamics, unmanned aerial vehicle, traffic flow, Kolkata region, analysis Cite this Article Suvanjan Bhattacharyya, Rajat Subhra Bhowmik, Bashab Chandra Paul, Sandeep Raja, Tamal Roy.
