Proposal to Use Cartography for Predicting the Urbanization as an Aid to Communication Network Planners

Résumé

 In this paper, a proposal has been made to incorporate the concept of urbanization level in the maps supplied to different vendors. This in turn would aid the network planners of the telecommunication, and cellular industry to plan the network, BTS site planning, cell size planning and efficient frequency planning also. All the advantages of incorporating urbanization level have also been well discussed. Keywords: DTM, Urbanization, GSM, Network, Planning
