Efficiency Improvement and Reduction in Size of Patch Antenna

Resumen

Abstract This proposed antenna was result of research which was carried out to reduce the size of the patch antenna (PA) and efficiency improvement of the same. Proposed method to enhance the antenna parameter and reduction of size was defected ground structure which is popularly known as DGS. An antenna was designed at 2.14 GHz and after implementing proposed defected ground structure, resonating frequency was shifted to 1.7 from 2.1 GHz. Proposed structure was a combination of a ring with the triangle in it.
