Realization of Supporting Device for Afflicted Human Locomotion Using PIC-Microcontroller
Аннотация
Many types of walking aids ranging from very simple one to highly complex ones in operation are widely available presently. The most desirable operating characteristics of such a system will be the one, which exhibits a characteristic similar to that of the human locomotion. The paper explain in detail about the development of the supporting device for two-fold purpose, i.e., supporting device with only locking/unlocking mechanism and supporting device with both locking/unlocking and leg movement driver mechanism. A supporting system for locomotion has been developed both for locking and unlocking situation of knee joint. The hardware used for developing such a system was explained in detail. The flowchart for the software developed on a PIC was also presented. Keywords: Supporting device, PIC-microcontroller, human locomotionCite this Article: Sirish TS, Sivanandan KS.
