Effects of Natural Dust on the Performance of Solar PV Panel in India
Abstrakt
Photovoltaic (PV) panel is gaining relevance day by day and common people are now developing their interest in purchasing more solar PV panel due to their competitive merits. Solar PV panel have a major problem that is lack of maintenance, effect of dust, etc. Collection of dust on solar panel of solar PV system is a natural phenomenon. The study revealed that the accumulated dust on the surface of PV solar panel can deduct the system’s overall efficiency by up to 35% per month. This paper aims at analyzing the effect of dust accumulation on the solar panel. On the other hand, the influence of dust on the performance of PV systems has not been given much attention; hence in this paper performance of PV panel are studied experimentally for calculating the effect of deposited dust particles. The experimental data are utilized for calculating the energy efficiency of PV systems. Keywords: PV panel, maintenance, dust Cite this Article Bhaskar V. Arya R.
