要旨

The research work examines the moisture content resistance and resistivity of different species of tropical wood grown in Nigeria. The wood specimens were oven dried to determine the moisture content of the wood. The samples were tested using the megatester to determine the resistance, and the resistivity. A bar chart showing the difference in the resistivity was plotted against moisture content. Danta has the highest resistivity while Gmelina has the lowest resistivity among the species. The result shows that Danta is the best resistant of electricity of the entire wood specimens tested. Keywords: Electrical resistivity, different wood species, NigeriaCite this Article: Ajigbon AA, Akinpelu SO.
