Resumé

The important of water safety for drinking and other human activities cannot be over emphasise. However, the safety of drinking water is affected by various contaminants as a result of anthropogenic activities. Such contaminants cause serious health problems. Bwaji Stream being the source of water to the community, the physico-Chemical parameters of the water were evaluated to ascertain the purity of the source and avoid likely health problems as a result of using the water. The finding reveals that the source of water before Ara town conforms to specifications set by World Health Organisation (WHO) and Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) while the conductivity of the stream at Ara town and beyond has slightly exceeded the threshold limit set by WHO and SON.Cite this ArticleHalilu S, Bala U, Atolaiye BO, et al.
