Resumo

This project presents the development and design of an artificial neural network (ANN) in signal processing of optical fiber pH sensor. The pH sensor has bromophenol blue (BPB) solution as the indicator which is immobilized in a sol-gel thin film as a sensing material. The indicator shows change in color as pH of the solution changes and the spectra of these changes are calibrated to find the pH value. The data for various pH solutions is used to calibrate the pH meter using various network structures and types.  Keywords: Neural networks, optical pH meter, bromophenol blue indicator, spectrophotometer
