To Assess Preferred Learning Styles Among Nursing Students at Selected Colleges of Nursing, Haryana
Abstract
The purpose of the study was to assess and identify preferred learning styles among nursing students. The aim was to understand learning styles that could be considered as a key component of managing classroom teaching strategies. The descriptive study involved two nursing colleges with 100 nursing students. A standardized Honey and Mumford learning style questionnaire was used to assess preferred learning styles. The majority of nursing students were having reflector learning style. Based on the study findings, nurse educators must understand the need for identifying the preferred learning style of each nursing student and should incorporate different teaching learning strategies accordingly to the preferred learning styles of students.
