Abstract

Myocardial infarction (MI) causes a decline in the social, physical and functionality of affected patients psychological. These changes in quality of life (QOL) can impair the patient's ability to perform even basic daily tasks. The study has been conducted to assess the QOL of post-MI patients attending the cardiac OPD and to find out the association of QOL with selected variables like hypertension, diabetes, habit of alcohol and smoking, etc. Most of the patients were having good QOL and the habit of alcohol drinking and smoking and hypertension were associated with the QOL of post-MI patients.Keywords: quality of life, myocardial infarction, cardiac OPD
