Area Load Frequency Control (ALFC) using Different Conventional Algorithms

Résumé

In practical system, frequency is always changing because of changing load. So, load frequency control (LFC) is necessary to maintain the frequency at an optimum level. So, in the general system, integral (I), proportional integral (PI) and proportional integral derivative (PID) controller is used for compensation of frequency. In this paper simulation for load frequency control (LFC) is done on two area thermal systems and also different conventional PID tuning methods for minimization of error have been shown.  Keywords: ALFC, two area thermal system, LQR, PID controllerCite this Article Garvil Vadher, Sumit Rathor.
