Parole chiave:

Logistics terminals in supply chains have to be designed and operated to ensure an acceptable level of service to its customers in terms of waiting times and turnaround times. Decisions problems on these issues are dealt at different managerial levels related to long term, medium term and short term planning. When performance improvement studies of different logistic terminal systems are to be conducted, many different models of the same terminal system are to be developed for solving its problems. This paper is look into some issues of specific problem domain on knowledge acquisition about the nature of the problems that could be addressed within that domain. Structured models could be developed by creating a set of model abstractions. In the paper we discuss such a procedure for logistic terminal modelling.Pubblicato
