Innovative Housekeeping Affecting Guest Decisions
Resumé
A hotel succeeds on the sale of rooms , food, beverages and other minor services such as laundry ,health club and so on. The room sales constitutes a minimum of 70% of these sales in which housekeeping plays a major role. Housekeeping may be explained as “provision of clean, comfortable, safe and aesthetically appealing environment provided for the guest”. Innovative housekeeping is a practice adopted by the hoteliers to make the guest stay more comfortable and a pleasurable experience. The more the guests understand the innovative measures more they will enjoy their stay in hotel. But in some instances if the guest is not able to understand the innovative systems and procedures it becomes a hindrance, nuisance and disturbance for the guests. Cutting edge research with clearly defined objectives by academicians and housekeeping experts should be bestowed to the hospitality industry by addressing this innovative housekeeping concept is the need of the hour. Accordingly this paper attempts to examine the impact of Innovative housekeeping in hotels and suggest methods to handle in a better manner so that guests enjoy their stay in hotels.Keywords: Innovative, Housekeeping, Hotels, Guests , UnderstandingDownloads
