Resumen

The word “Lean” encompasses more scope than what has been perceived in Industrial Sector.  The current paper explores its benefits in the sectors with more complex supply chain than industrial sectors, namely education. Lean thinking allows a simple route for improving efficiencies by, identifying margin of errors, and further by improving teaching effectiveness. In the current paper use of value stream mapping in educational institute is analyzed. Current state map, followed by the future state map represents the scope, which rests at the behest of progressive lean thinking. Such Current and future state value stream maps may be optimistically used for not only reducing wastages, and increase net competency of the academia in teaching and education domain but also improve enabling to influence the system progress from belief to behavior. Keywords: wastages in a class room, value stream mapping, class room of 2020, value adding, non-value
