要旨

Casting foundry markets will continue to face challenge from global producers because of their lower wage scales and ecological standards, which lower the cost of their casting jobs. Production constraints on the foundry industry’s processes are increasingly more costly to the industry and cut into the profit. Casting foundries have also made changes to their processes to help decrease pollution. One of such modern foundries is Krislur Castomech Pvt. Ltd., Gujarat, India. They have adopted modern two-port furan no-bake (FNB) system, which offers advantage than single-part mold system in terms of strength and productivity concern. In this research, sand tests are accomplished and effect of temperature and resin is measured through analysis of variance (ANOVA) method. This gives the solution to have best compressive strength of mold by selecting suitable resin percentage and sand temperature. This good-quality FNB mold system improves quality casting through minimization of defect.Cite this Article Acharya SG, Vadher JA, Sheladiya MV, et al.
