Basic building block to design an analog circuit is amplifier and it is used for such applications like analog to digital and digital to analog converter, sensor network and many more. Amplifier with lofty gain and high bandwidth will increase the efficiency of design. Present time is talking about development of VLSI technology and everything is related to size of transistor and decreasing power supply in a circuit. Operational transconductance amplifier is mostly used for analog circuitry for example instrumentation amplifier, converters and filters. Conceptually OTA is operational amplifier without output buffer. Bias current controlled by bias voltage of OTA with the use of current mirror circuit, all these terms affect the transconductance “gm”. From the reference survey low pass filter provides the best expected outcome. This paper presents comparative study of operational transconductance amplifier based low pass filter.
