Effect of Complexation of Copper with a Preferred Amino acid of Saccharomyces cerevisiae NCIM 3558 on its Metabolism
要旨
The present work studies the effect on the growth of Saccharomyces cerevisiae NCIM 3558when copper sulphate pentahydrate is complexed with a preferred amino acid of S.cerevisiaeNCIM. The study showed the fact that not only the amino acid or ligand but also the metal ioninvolved is an important factor for the biological effects of ligand–metal complexes effects onyeast metabolism per se. Studies are elaborated extensively. Keywords: Saccharomyces cerevisiae, glutamine copper, antagonist, glucose metabolismCite this ArticleKarthikeyan KS, Rajender M, SastryKS.
