Resumen

Antioxidants are extensively used in routine general clinical practice in the present era. Oxidative stress plays an important role in the etiology of various oral lesions. Increased incidence of oral cancer and potentially malignant disorders, where the oral environment is damaged by the production of free radicals warrants the need for research and evidence in the use of antioxidants in the field of dentistry.
