Abstract

Hiroshima and Nagasaki are prominent examples to show that thousands of people are still suffering from post-effects of radiation. Radiation is something that cannot be smelled or seen; it can be detected only through machines. A few years back, Mayapuri case in Delhi, has proved that radiation hampers not only the individuals but also their surroundings. The damage caused by radiation aims for developing radioprotectors. Radioprotective effect, indeed, is an ability to enable a spontaneous reparation of the cells damaged by radiation. The present review elaborates on some important radioprotectors and their important features.
