Preliminary Assessment of Flowering Plants with Reference to Temple Complexes or Sacred Groves in Bijapur

The present work was carried with the aim to document the floral diversity in the selected sacred sites or temple complexes in Bijapur area to access their services benefiting at regional levels to local inhabitants. A total of 139 taxa (including cultivars) belonging to 121 genera distributed in 52 families were recorded in 10 selected sites. The list of plants and their uses were also been discussed.
