Synthesis of Novel Sugar-Benzimidazole Derivatives
Аннотация
Conversion of some unprotected and unmodified aldoses with o-phenylene diamine to aldo-imidazoles using iodine catalyst in acetic acid solution has been applied, according to a known method. Accordingly some novel derivatives have been synthesized. Characterization of the synthesized products has been performed by M.P., chromatography, IR and mass spectra.
