Comparison Study of the Reactivity of 2-Acetyl Heterocyclic Compound toward Aldol Condensation with Benzaldehyde Derivatives

要旨

Some new chalcones have been synthesized by condensation of 2-acetyl pyrrol, 3-acetyl pyridine and 3-acetyl indole with various aromatic aldehydes in 25% alcoholic alkali. The synthesized compounds were identified by spectral and physical methods.
