Resistance spot welding process is used for joining stainless steel (AISI 304) sheets. An experiment was carried out to investigate the influence of welding parameters like current, weld time and electrode force on the Tensile-Shear (T-S) strength of the weld joint. Experiments based on Taguchi method are conducted in which three factors, three levels were used. Fuzzy logic based approach is used to predict output i.e. tensile shear strength. Keywords: Optimisation, fuzzy logic, welding, stainless steel (AISI 304), Taguchi method Cite this Article A.G.
