Marketing of Information in LIS
Abstract
This is of greatest significance to the information industry. It is possible that after having given an initial development impetus to the market, present suppliers could be seriously threatened or even completely wiped out by new entrants. New entrants are going to find it easy to come in at each end of the market, i.e. the top and the top and the bottom. At the bottom the entry price is negligible and small groups or individuals can expect to find a viable niche. This should not be a problem to present industry, but if these are the spearheads of a major broker movement, then revenue pattern will be altered.
