E-Voting System: (A Tool for General Elections)

Abstract


The usage of ICT is increasing by leaps and bound all over the world .The fast and deep impact of the internet is seen  in each and every aera of the mankind in this world . The most of the governments all over the world are keen to use electronic medium for all types of services for their citizens which is called e-Governance. India  is also a front runner to rollout various e-Governance services under the umbrella of the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP). With the extended use of internet and ICT technologies many governments are extending their services to more and more people faster. Many e-Government models are built with the latest ICT for good use and quicker services to the citizens. India being the largest democracy of the world has significant work load during elections.The conventional methods of election have many problems due to which many citizens are not able to  cast their vote. Keeping these problems in mind e-voting  system which can be used a tool for any type of voting is suggested in this paper.
