Background Service QoS in Integrated UMTS-HSDPA and WLAN Ad Hoc Networks with Various Inter-Domain Routing Protocols
Abstract
The Next Generation Network (NGN) allows the service providers to extend the coverage and capacity of existing network towards rural and hot spots area with large variety of services. Integrated UMTS-HSDPA and WLAN Ad Hoc Networks is most eligible NGN’s under this category. The integrated network offers a large variety of services e.g. conversational, streaming, interactive, and background class. This paper focuses on asymmetric best-effort service belonging to the background class in both uplink and downlink of this network using Constant Bit Rate (CBR) and File Transfer Protocol (FTP). A comparative QoS performance over background class service such as Fax, e-mail downloading and text messaging with Bellman, BellmanBGPv4, RIPv2 and RIPv2BGPv4 inter-domain routing protocols have been analyzed.Cite this ArticleTripathi S, Jain AK.
