Abstract

ZnO nanocrystals were synthesized using microwave oven technique. The electrical properties of ZnO were studied using impedance spectroscopy. In this work, measurements on the AC and DC conductivities of the pelletized ZnO samples were carried out. The frequency dependence of both AC conductivity and the dielectric constant of nanocrystals of ZnO were investigated in the frequency range 1 Hz–1 MHz. Electrical characterizations using impedance spectroscopy were carried out for pelletized samples of ZnO nanocrystals at different temperatures. Various electrical parameters were studied using the Col-Col plot with the help of SAI DEMO software. Activation energy was calculated using the Arrhenius plot.
