Abstract

The ZnO flowers were prepared by chemical bath deposition (CBD), low transmittance in the ultraviolet region was observed, the band gap decreases with increase in deposition time. The SEM images of the deposited ZnO revealed that the films are flower-like with well-developed petals. The XRD of the film are crystal with several peaks. Prominent among them are the peaks at 2θ values of around 32.5°, 35.9° and 38.5° corresponding to the diffraction lines produced by 100, 002 and 103 planes respectively. The EDS result always revealed the presence of Zn and O in the deposited films.
