Vishal S. Rangras, Punit P. Acharya, Prof. N. D. Mehta

Abstract

The Class of ac power controllers consists of switching regulator which connects and disconnects the load tothe supply according to the required power. The two voltage control techniques for regulating the power flowin a.c. voltage controllers are Phase Control and Integral Cycle Control (ICC). Phase control undergoes thelimitation of harmonic injection while integral cycle control provides control in integral values only. In theproposed method, both the techniques are combined to provide efficient voltage control and eliminatingdrawbacks of each other. In this paper authors have reported design methodology and simulated results of thePhase - Integral Switching (PIS) which is the combination of both techniques.
