Rich Indian Culture and its Potential for Improvement in the Educational Scenario in Our Country

Abstract


Culture is an important component of the heritage of any nation. A culture is instrument, regulative and directive. India has a long cultural history and abundant cultural heritage. The culture of India refers to the religions, beliefs, customs, traditions, languages, ceremonies, arts, values and the way of life in India and its people. India's languages, religions, dance, music, architecture, food, and customs differ from place to place within the country. To awaken the human and divine qualities, man needs educational values particularly in positive cultural values. The Cultural education is that which does not merely give information, but makes out life in harmony with all insistence. This paper describes the classification of culture and to expect some points from Indian teacher educators. The present work attempts to discuss the culture of Guru Kula and the importance of yoga. This paper attempts to improve the cultural values through meditation. We are in need of cultural value system into the proposed academic set up so that the nation would again stands in its nature and the cultural values are needed to develop peace of our mind.
