Surgical Management of Traumatic Esophageal and Laryngeal Rupture in a Dog
Abstract
A one-year-old male dog presented with an extensive dog bite injury over ventrolateral aspect of the neck was diagnosed to have esophageal and laryngeal rupture. Clinical examination and radiography aided in diagnosis. The condition was repaired by surgical reconstruction under general anesthesia and the animal recovered complications without any untoward consequences.
