Biography

Dr. M. Sreekumar received B.E Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University, and M.E Degree in Manufacturing Engineering from MIT, Anna University, India in 2004. He obtained PhD degree from IIT Madras in 2008 for his research work on “Smart Material Actuated Compliant Parallel Mechanism”. He is currently serving as a faculty at the Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing (IIITD&M) Kanchipuram, Chennai, India (A Centre of excellence established by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India). He is having more than 23 Years of experience in industry, especially in the area of Material Handling Equipment’s and Automation, and in teaching. He has published many papers in various international journals, including ASME Journal of Mechanical Design and Smart Materials and Structures and in various national and international conferences. He was also worked in Italy for about 1 ½ Years at the University of Genova during his PhD research and now a Visiting Professor at this University for European Master on Advanced Robotics (EMARO) programmer. He is an active member of various professional organizations including IEEE, ISTE and ISA. His research interests include Robotics, Smart Materials, Serial and Parallel Manipulators, Compliant Mechanisms and Fuzzy Control.

Dr. Mihir Kumar Sutar is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology Odisha She/he received his/her Ph.D. Degree in Surgical Robotics from IIT Roorkee . His Area of Expertise includes: Robotics, Vibration condition monitoring.

Dr. Bijan Karimi is a Professor, Undergraduate Coordinator (CEN) & Graduate Coordinator (EE) in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering and Computer Science at the Tagliatela College of Engineering. His Teaching Interests is: Digital Systems, Microprocessors/Microcontrollers, Computer Architecture, Networking, VLSI Design, VHDL, Image Processing. His Research Interests: Digital Logic Testing, Neural Networks, Parallel Processing, Image Processing/Pattern Recognition, Networking, Robot Navigation, and CMOS Circuit Design.

Dr. Dibakar Bandopadhya is an associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. He Specialization is Machine Design Engineering and area of Research Interest is Active materials, Artificial muscle materials, Smart structures, Robotics and mechanism, Composites, MEMS, Bio inspired design.

Prof G C Nandi. Currently, Dean (Acad.) of the premier Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad. It is a wonderful experience for him to interact with such talented young minds. He teaches them various subjects and learns many things from them! He likes to create robots which will interact with us intelligently like humans. He developed a Robotics laboratory which is considered to be one of the best in our country. They have recently developed a technology for AMAL (Adaptive Modular Active Leg), which is controlled by Biologically Inspired CPG (Central Pattern Generator). Area of Interest includes: Soft computing, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Industrial automation, Advanced Artificial Intelligence, Computer Controlled Systems, Humanoid robots, Machine vision and processing.

Dr. Hsu-Yung Cheng is an Associate Professor in Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering National Central University, Taiwan. She received her Ph.D. Ph.D. Electrical Engineering from University of Washington, Seattle, WA, US and Ph.D. Computer Science and Information Engineering, from National Central University, Taiwan. Her Research Interests includes: Video Analysis and Understanding, Machine Learning, Image Processing, Digital Signal Processing, Intelligent Systems

Dr. Nesar Ahmad is a Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He received his Ph.D. Degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi in 1993.Hist Areas/Research Interests Applied Soft Computing, Embedded Systems, Web Applications. Other Areas of Interest Sufism, Islamic Values, Madrasa Education, and welfare of weaker sections of society He is the author of more than 39 research papers.

Dr M. Sohel Rahman, Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) Dhaka, Bangladesh. He received his Ph.D. Degree in Computer Science,from King’s College, University of London in 2008. His Research Interest Includes: String and sequence algorithms, Bioinformatics, Design and analysis of Algorithms (Sequential, Parallel, Distributed), Theoretical Computer Science with applications, Networks, Metaheuristics, Natural Computing.
