Biography

Dr. K. K. Gupta received his B.Tech (1991) and M.E. (1994) degrees in Electronics and Control & Instrumentation Engineering from IET, Lucknow University and NIT, Allahabad University respectively and completed his Ph.D. in Image Processing from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani in the year 2007. Currently he is an Assistant Professor in Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. He has five year industrial experience and more than fifteen years of teaching and research experience with about 25 publications to his credit in various journals and conferences of repute. He is reviewers of many journals mainly IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion, Signal Processing Letter, IET Image processing, Elsevier Journal on Digital Signal Processing, Computers and Electrical Engineering, Simulation Modelling Practice and Theory, ASPRS Journal on Photogrammetric Engineering and Remote Sensing, ISRS Journal on Remote Sensing, EURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing. His research interests include Vibration and Acoustic signal processing, Remote Image processing, Biometrics, Biomedical Image processing.

Dr. Adil Sarwar is a Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department of Galgotia College of Engineering and Technology affliated with the Uttar Pradesh Technical University.. He received his Ph.D. Degree in Power Electronics.. From Aligarh Muslim University, India in 2012. He is having 7 Years of Experience in the field of Electrical Engineering. His Area of Expertise includes: Power Electronics, Solar photovoltaics, Machines and microcontrollers. He has many publications in international journals including IEEE transactions. He holds an Indian patent in the field of power electronics applied to solar photovoltaic.

Dr. Anagha Panditrao is a Professor in the Instrumentation and Control Department of Cummins College of Engineering at the University of Pune. She/he received his/her Ph.D. Degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from PUNE University in 2012. She is working with Cummins College of Engineering from 1996. He/she is having 18 Years of Experience in the field of Instrumentation. Her Area of Expertise includes: Temperature measurement, process control and transducer design. Several of her papers have appeared in leading journals and conferences including research publications in IEEE transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement and Springer. She has represented Pune University from research category in national and zonal project competitions. Dr. Anagha has received appreciation award from Cummins India Limited in August 2011 for her research work.

Dr. Durlav Hazarika is a Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department of Assam Engineering at the University of Guhati University. He received his Ph.D. in Power System Operation and Planning from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. He is having 30 Years of Experience in the field of Engineering Teaching and Research and Development. Her Area of Expertise includes:: Power System Planning and Operation, Power System Voltage stability analysis, Power System Economics, Power System operational planning using Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU), Operational planning of FACTs device, ANN amplification in Power System, Sensor analysis using Finite Element Method(FEM), Optical sensor analysis, Development of Embedded System for electric and optical sensor. He is the author of several papers in international and national journal, such as IEEE transactions on power systems, IEEE transactions on Instrumentation and Measurements, IEEE sensor, IEE proceedings, IET proceedings, International Journal on Power and Energy Systems, Optical Fiber Technology, IE(I) etc.

Dr. Pramod D Shendge is a Professor in the College of Enginerring Pune, Department of Instrumentation and Control at the University of Pune, India. He received his Ph.D. Degree in Instrumentation and Control from SGGS College of Engineering and Technology, Nanded, India in 2007. Then worked as an Associate Professor in Instrumentation and Control Department with College of Engineering Pune from 2008. He is having 20 Years of Experience in the field of Control Systems. His Area of Expertise includes: the sliding mode control, uncertainty and disturbance estimation and robust control. He is the author of about 38 papers, including 10 journal papers, one book chapter.

Dr. Vipul A. Shah is a Professor and Head in the Instrumentation and Control Engineering Department of Faculty of Technology at the Dharmsinh Desai University, Nadiad, Gujarat He received his Ph.D. Degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from Dharmsinh Desai University, Nadiad in 2006. He is having Four Years of Industrial and Eighteen Years of Teaching Experience. His Area of Expertise includes: Neural Network & Fuzzy Logic Control, Process Control, Advanced Control System, System Design, Robotics Engineering, Microprocessor and Microcontroller etc.

Dr.V. Kalaichelvi is an Assistant Professor in the . Department of Electrical and Electronics Engg .at BITS PILANI, DUBAI CAMPUS. She received her Ph.D. Degree in Instrumentation Engg . from Annamalai University in the year 2007. She has 16 years of teaching experience in Annamalai University, India. She is working with BITS PILANI, Dubai Campus for past 6 years. She has taught many courses and guided many research projects for undergraduate and postgraduate students. She has her research work published in refereed international journals and many international conferences. Her Area of Expertise includes: Process Control, Control Systems, Neural Networks, Fuzzy logic and Genetic Algorithm

Dr. M. D. Uplane is currently working as Professor in the Department of Instrumentation Science at University of Pune, Pune, India. He received his Ph.D. (Physics) in 1985 with a major of photovoltaics, M.E M. D. Uplane. (Electronics Engineering) in 1996, from the Shivaji University, Kolhapur, India. He worked as Assistance Professor in PVPIT Budhagaon Sangli for eight years. He joined Shivaji University Kolhapur as Associate Professor in 1992. He was Professor and Head of the Department of Electronics, Shivaji University, Kolhapur, India from 2009 to 2013. He was coordinator at Department of Nanoscience and Technology. He has published more than 100 research papers in national and international journals. Also he has presented more than 125 papers at national and international conferences/symposium. He received best research paper award from IETE New Delhi in 2000. He is having 34 years of Experience in the field of Electronics and Instrumentation. His research interest includes: Synthesis of thin films of metal chalcogenides, metal oxides, by chemical, electrochemical methods and their applications in solid state sensors, solar cells, power electronics and control, digital signal processing.

Prof. Manpreet Singh Manna is Associate Professor in the Deptt. of Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering, SLIET, Longowal. Completed his B.E. (Electrical & Electronics Engineering) from Mysore. University, India, M.E. (Power & Machines) from Thapar University, Patiala. He is pursuing his Doctorate from SLIET University, Longowal. He is regular member of IEEE, USA since 2010, and ACM, USA. He is also Life member of Indian Society of Technical Education, India and Institution of Engineers (India). He also has published 135 research papers in National and International Journals and conferences of repute. He is Editor and Reviewer for many International Referred Journals. He has guided many UG Projects and 14 PG Dissertations. He also Delivered an Expert Talk on Energy on National TV Channal at INDIA. His area of interest is Finite Element tools for Power Systems and Energy Generation & Management. Manpreet Manna also taught in AIT, Bangkok for January, 2012 session as Visiting Associate Professor by MHRD, Govt. of India. He is Recipient of BEST CITIZENS OF INDIA AWARD-2014, SHRESHTH AACHARYA AWARD-2011, and Honoured from International Human Rights Protection Bureau (India) at Bangkok-2009.

From Anna University in July 2004 and Ph.D. in the Faculty of Electrical Engg. From Anna University in August 2009. Worked as lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor in BS Abdur Rahman University.

Prof. Alok Prakash Mittal obtained B.E. (Hons.) Electrical Engg. in 1978 from M.M.M. Engg. College, Gorakhpur, U.P., M. E. in Power Apparatus & Electric Drives from University of Roorkee (Now IIT Roorkee) in 1980 and Ph. D. in Power Electronics from IIT Delhi in 1991.Prof. Mittal worked in REC, Kurukshetra (Presently NIT) from April, 1985 to June 1987 and from Sept. 1989 to July 1997. He also worked in REC, Hamirpur (H.P) from July 1987 to Sept. 1989. From July 1997 to June, 2001, he worked in Chotu Ram State College of Engg. (Presently DCRUST) Murthal as Professor & Head of Electrical and Electronics Engg. Deptt. Since June, 2001, Prof. Mittal is working as Head, Instrumentation & Control Engg. at NSIT. He worked as Dean, IRD from Nov. 2004 to March 2011, as Dean, Student Welfare from Aug. 2004 to July 2008, as member of NBA expert committee for accreditation of about eighty institutes from Nov. 2003 onward. He was Chairman, ISTE, Murthal Chapter during 1999-2001, Chairman, ISTE, NSIT, Delhi Chapter during 2002-2005, Secretary, ISTE Delhi Section during 2003-2006. He also worked as Chairman, B.E. admission committee for DCE/ NSIT for 2005 & 2006 and for NSIT in 2010 & 2011, General Chair, IEEE “India International Conference on Power Electronics -2010” held in NSIT on Jan. 28-30, 2011. Presently, he is holding additional charge of Head, Management, Head, EDC and Dean (PG Studies & Research). Prof. Mittal is also a Sr. Member IEEE, USA, Fellow Institute of Engineers (India), Fellow IETE (India), Life Member, ISTE and Life Member, System Society of India.Prof. Mittal’s area of teaching and research interest are Power Electronics, Electric Drives, FACTS and Intelligent Instrumentation. Twelve students have completed Ph. D and seven are currently registered under the supervision of Prof. Mittal.

Dr. Bhaswati Goswami is an Associate Professor at Dept. of Instrumentation & Electronics Engineering at Jadavpur University Kolkata.Her area of specialization include Bio medical Instrumentation , Digital Signal Processing, Sensor development. Her areas of interests are Fundamentals of Instrumentation Digital Signal Processing , Bio-medical Instrumentation Signals and Systems Digital Filtering & Control. She has more than 15 years of Teaching Experience.

Dr. Ravibabu Mulaveesala received M.Tech from National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tiruchirapalli in 2000 and PhD from Centre for Applied Research in Electronics, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD), India in 2007. His research interests include thermal, acoustical and optical methods for non-invasive imaging technologies. He completed his PhD from IIT Delhi. His area of interests are InfraRed Vision and Industrial Imaging, Signal, Image and Video Processing Techniques for Non-invasive Imaging Methods.,Non-destructive Testing & Evaluation,Thermal Wave Imaging, Acoustical and Optical Non-invasive Imaging Methods.
