Biography

Dr. Balaram Kundu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Jadavpur University. He received his Ph.D. Degree in Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in 2000. He worked as a Research Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea for three years. He is having Seventeen Years of Experience in Teaching and Research on Thermal Engineering. His Area of Expertise includes: Analytical Heat Transfer, Solar Collector, Thermal Insulation, Extended Surface Heat Transfer, Fin-and-Tube Heat Exchanger, Biological Heat Transfer, etc. He is the author of more than sixty reputed international journal papers, recipient of Institutional Medal for the best paper published in the Journal of the Institution of Engineers (India), etc. He has visited several times in Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Netherland, Spain etc. for research activities.

Dr. Ramjee Repaka is Assistant Professor in the School of Mechanical, Materials and Energy Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Ropar since June 2010. He received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in January 2009. Then he worked as Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at National Institute of Technology Rourkela from March 2008 to June 2010. He is having 6 Years of Experience in the field of teaching and research. Her Area of Expertise includes: Bioheat transfer, Radiation, Conduction, Thermal Engineering. He has published 10 articles in journals of international repute.

Dr. Jahar Sarkar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi, India. He received his Ph.D.Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in 2006. Then worked as a Assistant Professor in Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi for 9 Years. He is having 9 Years of Experience in the field of teaching and research. His Area of Expertise includes: Advanced Heat Conversion cycles, Heat transfer, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning. He has published about 85 research articles in Journals and Conferences; Biography included in Who’s Who in the World 2010; Editorial Board Member of various International Journals.

Dr. Kunja Bihari Sahu is a Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering at KIIT University, Bhubaneswar. He received his Ph.D. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University in 2009. Then worked as a Professor in KIIT University for 5 Years. He is having 23 years of Experience in the field of Thermal Engineering. His area of expertise includes: Combustion Engineering, Computational Fluid Dynamics.

Dr. Manoj Arya is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal. He received his Ph.D Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal in 2012. Before joining Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Bhopal in 2005, he was working in University Institute of Technology, Bhopal for more than 3 years. He is having around 13 years of Experience in teaching. His area of Expertise includes: Thermal Engg.

Dr. Sanjeev Anand is an Assistant Professor in School of Energy Management at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra (J&K). He received his Ph.D. Degree in Energy Management, Faculty of Engineering from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra (J&K) in 2012. Earlier, he worked as a Marine Engineer Officer in ships. The details of his experience involve maintenance, operation and performance assessment of major machinery systems. He holds a Chief Engineer Officer Certificate of Competency issued by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, Government of UK, Great Britain and Northern Ireland. His area of interest is vapor absorption refrigeration systems, heat and mass transfer, energy and exergy analyses. He is having 17 Years of Experience which includes 9 years experience in shipping industry. He is recipient of a research grants from CSIR.

Dr. A.D. Badgujar is a Professor in the Mechanical Department of School of Engineering & Technology at the Navrachana University She/he received his/her Ph.D.Degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Bombay in 2014 Then worked as a Assistant Professor in Navrachana University. He is having 12 Years of Experience in the field of Teaching His Area of Expertise includes: Cryogenic Engineering, Thermal & Fluid Engineering, Refrigeration & Air-conditioning, CFD Analysis, Product design, Experimental Research

Dr. Dipak Maity is a Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department of School of Engineering at the Shiv Nadar University. He has received his Ph.D. degree in Materials Science & Engineering from National University of Singapore in 2011. Then, he has worked as a postdoc fellow from Singapore and Czech Republic. He has 10 Years of Research Experience in the field of Nanoparticle Synthesis, Characterization and Applications. His Area of Expertise includes: Nanomaterials for Nanomedicine and Green Energy for Solar Thermal Applications. He has published his research work in several reputable international journals like Biomaterials, Nanomedicine, Chemical Communication, Journal of Materials Chemistry, Journal of Applied Physics and several others.

Dr. Jagannath Rao Korody is working as Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at MIT Manipal, a constituent Institution of Manipal University, India. Born in Korody, a village in Kundapur Taluk in Karnataka, Dr Rao did his Bachelor of Engineering from U.V.C.E Bangalore, MTech from Mangalore University and PhD from Manipal University. Dr Rao in his 30 years experience as teacher and researcher has published more than 50 research papers in reputed National and International Journals and has delivered several keynote address in National and International conferences. He has also served as Associate Director for Alumni, Public and International relations at MIT Manipal from 2009 to 2013. His areas of interest in teaching and research are Refrigeration and Air conditioning, Tribology, Thermal Engineering and Renewable Energy systems. Dr Rao is also serving as an expert for the Board of studies of Bangalore University for their syllabus revision and examination related matters. At MIT Manipal, besides taking several key responsibilities, he has also guided as Faculty adviser for designing and Manufacturing racing car “Formula Manipal” for International racing competetion. Dr Rao is the Life member of Institution of Engineers, Indian society for technical education and Tribology society of India.

Dr. Lev Bulat is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the ITMO University (St. Petersburg, Russia). He received his Ph.D. Degree in Physics and Mathematics from Chernovtsy University, Ukraine in 1973 and D. Sc. Degree in Physics and Mathematics from Leningrad (St. Petersburg) Technical University, Russia in 1988. Then worked as a Senior Lecturer in Lvov Technical University, Ukraine (1975 – 1988); a Full Professor in Ternopol Instrument Making Institute, Ukraine (1989 – 1994); Head of the Branch of the Institute of Thermoelectricity, Ukraine (1992 – 1994); Full Professor and Head of the EEE Department in St. Petersburg University of Refrigeration and Food Engineering, Russia (1994 – 2011) and in ITMO University (2012 – till now) at the same positions. He is having about 40 Years of Experience in the field of solid state physics, semiconductors, material research, energy conversion, refrigeration etc. He is the author of 200 books and papers, recipient of a lot of Grants, awards etc. He is a Principal Investigator of 30 Projects.

Dr. S. K. Shukla is working in the field of Thermal Engineering and Renewable Energy Technology since last 15 years. He has completed his Masters in Energy Studies and Ph.D. in Solar Thermal Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India. He is a recognized guide for M. Tech. and Ph.D. in Thermal and Energy Studies in Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), UPTU, Lucknow and Allahabad Agricultural Institute (Deemed University). He has developed research Collaborations with Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, University of Leeds, UK and University of Technology, Mauritius in the field of Thermal Engineering and Renewable Energy Technology. He is a Visiting Professor under MHRD Govt. of India, Secondment to Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok and University of Technology, Mauritius. He has published more than 50 research papers in International Journals. He has delivered number of invited talks in International conferences/ symposiums/ workshops on various issues in the field of Renewable Energy and Alternate Fuel Technologies. He has also nominated as Principal Member of Expert Group in Mechanical Engineering Sectional Committees (MED-39) and MED-04, of Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS), Govt. of India, New Delhi. He was also member of drafting committee of Bureau of Energy Efficiency for ISO50001. He is a recipient of UGC-TEC Consortium Agreement Award 2010 in Sustainable Energy by University Grants Commission, New Delhi, India. He has to his credit 4 books and one book chapter in the book published by Springer.

Dr. Tanweer Hussain is Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro, Sindh, Pakistan. He received his Ph.D. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Nottingham in 2012, and earned his postdoctoral from The University of Nottingham. He has worked at various faculty positions in Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro, Sindh, Pakistan for Ten Years. He is having 13 Years of Experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering. He has research expertise in design, modelling and analysis of mechanical assemblies, stochastic and uncertainty analysis of mechanical system. Current areas of interest include: Aero-engine assembly design, Controlling variation propagations in mechanical assembly of high speed rotating machines and assembly process optimization, Probabilistic/stochastic analysis of assembly tolerances, Probabilistic analysis of multivariate systems. He is the author of 06 research papers published in high ranking International research journals in the field of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. Dr. Hussain is recipient of PhD Scholarship by HEC Pakistan and received Gold Medal from Al-Zahra Foundation, Nottingham, UK on rendering social welfare services. Dr. Hussain had involved in assembly design of Jet Engine Casing Rotor at Rolls Royce Plc. UK, (Jan 2008 – Aug 2011). He had also Involved in assembly design of Jet Engine Casing with MTU Aero Engines GmbH Germany, (June 2010 – Sep 2011). Studied and analysed Outward Guide Vane (OGV) casing assembly of aero-engine. Developed methods for optimisation of assembly process and controlling assembly variation propagations.
